Thanksgiving…. family, food, football

I loved seeing family this year, and had an interesting time in Corpus where we cut out some time to stop by the ranch on the way there, and again on Friday, to have some family time at the beach.  We had a pretty chill weekend to say the least, and we were hosted beautifully by Aunt Cathy.  One of the sweetest ladies I know.  I honestly haven’t seen men or women for that matter watch so much football in my life, but while I’m not a huge football fan, I love that they were doing exactly what they wanted to do after a long week of work.  I’m sure it was sweet time for them. I enjoyed moments with Papa, sharing coffee and the paper, and enjoyed his making me laugh consistently.    One of the most special moments while we were there was our visit to some dear friends that Jim has known all his life.  His “other” Grandparents; sweet friends of the family for years.   I’ve grown to love them dearly myself, and feel very bonded to them by faith, their constant care, love and amazing way they stay engaged with us and our children.  They love well.  Here’s a few fun shots of the weekend, One of Libby on huge hay bales at the ranch, Ella at Aunt Cathy’s house in the window, Beck in the backyard, and one of our cousin (my cousin by marriage) at the beach.  Isn’t she so pretty?
