Happy Bride

Every time I see this picture, I love how it reminds me of the magical night of my own wedding, how after the vows, Jim and I would have been content to run off together alone and to celebrate our new “family.”  I wouldn’t change anything about my own night, except I wouldn’t have married in August outside, I would NOT have worn hose, and I would have opted for bare feet on the grass instead of those terrible heels!  What can I say, the small amount of influence my mom still had over me at that time in my life, led me trying to do things the “right” way.   Which by definition, weren’t really me at all.  I laugh at it all now, and believe it to be still the best decision I ever made, marrying Jim.  What I love most about this picture is  that to me it sums up how we should all feel if we’re walking down the isle.
